FLAMING:

Defined: Flaming is when another driver verbally displays his dislike when he felt another driver did him wrong.

For text examples;”wft, you fk’d me, DA, FU, fuAH...!.” And most of us know know how to get around the computer censoring our language buy adding spaces between the words (ie. you a s s). Another way is just saying it over the airways. Both - not cool.

Especially when it's likely children or someone nearby at another site can hear.

Another kind of flaming without cussing is more demeaning in nature, “What were you thinking?, Pull your head out, Not a smart move, rookie” and the like.

Helpful Hint: Just know - if your not saying it in church and in front of Mother Teresa - then simply don't say it! The ability of keeping the league friendly - is dependent on this rule.

Now that we know what flaming is, the penalties should now be addressed.

PENALTIES:

The first offense is likely to be a warning. But... if any offense is bad enough, the league President will have no problem dismissing the driver. Lesser penalties could include, fines, point deductions, suspension, or any combination there of. Most likely - a suspension of 2 races is issued.

INTERPRETATION of text messages:

While it is hard to differentiate between just joking or serious while sending chat messages, the general rule should follows, “IF YOU CAN’T TYPE SOMETHING NICE, DON’T TYPE IT.” Interpretation is dependant on the reader and listener, not the sender.

STRESS:

Stress is something we all will experience while racing. Especially when the race last for hours. Your stress level rises. Your worried about your points standing, trying to get that extra bonus point in, or just trying to stay on the lead lap - hoping for that caution to come out so your not a lap down then... Bam! Someone hits you and destroys your car. Don't Explode! It could cost you dearly, possibly your membership.

Every race is reviewed and penalties follow the reviews for violations.

Since our league promotes a “welcoming friendly home” for “clean racers”, I’d like to be consistent in keeping it that way.

Everyone has the opportunity to make a mistake driving, even the best drivers, so no need to rub it in and fluff your feathers at the {other} driver if something happens. It makes you (and this league) look bad.
File a complaint if you don't want to engage that driver in debate.
See Rules Of Engagement below.

Remember, this is a game- a very stressful game at times.
Once you detach yourself from the stress- it’s actually pretty fun

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
- Arguing to another driver on the track, Conditions:

1. With children around - Absolutely 100% NO CUSSING (which is at every race regardless of time or if kids are actually around or not. If you can't see them - assume they are there at another guys house anyway!)

2. You cannot demean another driver (You stupid idiot) is a comment, not an engaging statement and is demeaning. "WHAT HAPPENED?" allows the other driver to explain his position.

If your in doubt of your ability to compose yourself - better disconnect the mic and yell at the computer instead. It's safer and more friendly! :)

The ol' "What were you doing, that was stupid - idiot" when your mic is set to voice activated wont fly either! So don't try to pawn it off as such an accident.

I will be as tolerant as possible but you shouldn't make an incident the chance to finally hurt the emotions of the other driver just as much as he hurt your car physically. That's just vindictive, inappropriate for this league, and this is a GAME folks. No real money is lost if your car gets wrecked.

3. There will be a set time limit you can actually vent a little. You'll have 15 seconds to debate the incident OR (most importantly) when I say "THATS ENOUGH" or "STOP" - then ALL CONVERSATION MUST IMMEDIATELY END. No getting in the last word in either. NOT EVEN A PEEP (unless you actually say "peep" - then there won't be a penalty unless suddenly the word "peep" is abused)

If you still trying to get the last word in after given the notification to stop will most likely lead to an immediate suspension. Coments like: ..."But he said...", "...but you saw...", "...that wasn't right.."...or anything like that - you'll get busted. No if's, ands, or buts after being notified to stop.

Helpful Hint: Keep in mind, if I have to speak up- this debate has either gone too far or is out of control. I'm hoping drivers can resolve issues on their own and will encourage that as much as possible between drivers.

If the encounter is going well and productively or seems to be resolving without violating this flaming rule, I will let it continue until it's resolved or if it doesn't seem to end, I will stop the talks.

Oh yea - The "go ahead and suspend me comment", will likely end up in a termination instead as lack of respect to me and this league. I give too much to make this league good so I won't tolorate it. It will be a sad day when this has to be used.

Remember, "Stop" means it ends now!
Peeps after notification to get in those last digs will equal a race suspension.
"Suspend Me" requests will likely lead to terminations!

Everyone has been informed.
Everyone now knows so there are no excuses or suprises.

No one has crossed the line yet - All I'm saying is I am allowing a small amount of venting to happen and if it's out of control - then you'll be asked to stop. I'm hoping we can be adults about racing. We are promoting friends, brothers, commaroderie and family in this league.

If your really pissed, get a hold of me in the Hollywood Hotel caht room AFTER THE RACE and I will listen to you.

I'm Sorry? Driver's are also being asked to "at least say your sorry". Do so if you really feel compelled but keeping quiet after an incident might be best action.

Accidents will automatically be treated as "I'M SORRY" to all that are involved.
