Balok's Battlehorn Castle Makeover

I really enjoy tinkering around with mods. Not that I'm any good with more advanced stuff like scripting and making elaborate quests mind you. But I really enjoy decorating, expanding and generally making things more personal for my own tastes. Also one of the best features of Oblivion and Fallout 3 are all the items Bethesda put in the game that players can set up on display.

I sort of document my players journey with many of the items he collects along the way including the armor he wears at certain points in the game, weapons he uses and collects and general quest related items you earn as you play. Each one tells their own story as my character advances in the game. I did a similar makeover in the Armory of the incredible Glenvar castle mod that I felt came out really well. However, I like having as many options as I can while playing, and don't want to have to use the same castle as my home in every playthrough. So, as another option for myself I decided to give Battlehorn castle a makeover, and personalize her to my tastes. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and please let me know if you have any suggestions and comments!

The view as soon as you enter the main Hall. I basically hated that huge Daedroth sitting there right when you come in the door. This is my "living room" and I would not have that sitting there in real life, so I moved it and made a nice cozy sitting area to relax after a long day of questing!

I made me a little flower/alchemy garden in this area. I still want to add a couple of butterflies fluttering over the garden. (I just gotta figure out where they are, lol!)

This is my "Mage's Corner". Several of the items on the shelves are containers for my gear, stones, potions, ingredients etc. I really love how this turned out!

The crystal balls are an Enchanting Orb and a Spellmaking Orb!

Just another shot from back across the room.

I basically almost tripled the size of the trophy room for my display museum. Also, I never really liked the round concrete pedestals the creatures trophy's were mounted on.
So I decided to use the vanilla planters and some shrubbery and so forth to give them a more natural look. They look a little more like they're in their environment I think.
I just sort of threw up some mannequins and various armors to get a feel for the overall look. At this point I have not begun adding other collectibles to the other display stands.
