CHANGE LOG:

2-23-10: Changed Sergi to "Always Run" when he is triggered in Megaton. (He looked sort of lame just walking behind you so now he will run up to greet you.
2-23-10: Moved the trigger to complete the quest to inside the armory. You now have to actually enter the armory to finish the quest.
2-8-10: revised the verbiage in a couple of the notes to non gender specific.
2-8-10: added missing script for "Duck & Cover" skill book to the Collectables sorting option.
(Thank you Delgerin and staticnoise for pointing these out to me.)

== Fully automated sorting system
== Armory full of weapons & ammo (for when you just want to storm the Wastes!)
== More storage than you'll ever need
== My First Infirmary and My First laboratory
== Facial Reconstruction Mainframe
== All beds grant "Well Rested" perk
== Display room for your spoils
== Follower Friendly and fully navmeshed
== Lot's of idle markers for your crew to sandbox with
== Cool chessboard made with miniatures
== Housekeeper "Anna" sells stuff and will repair your gear for a fee (she's cute too!)
== Workbench to make homemade weapons
== Fast travel marker directly to balcony door
== All vanilla assets - tiny file size
== No DLC required
== Beautifully decorated (if I do say so myself)
== Marked "mini" Quest loosely ties in with the early parts of game
== Rich, full story with lots of Journals and details
== Lot's of clever statics (I didn't call them "clever", someone else did!)

3. CONFLICTS/KNOWN ISSUES
===========================

CONFLICTS

IMPORTANT!!! This mod will directly conflict with ANY mod that changes the inaccessible door on the West side of Tenpenny Tower. It's directly across the other side of the tower from Tenpenny's suite. I use this door as the downstairs entrance to Chekov's Place. It does not affect the other inaccessible door, or the vanilla suite you get in The Power of the Atom quest, or of course, Tenpenny's suite.

I have no knowledge that my mod will conflict with anything else, but please adviseme if you find one so it can be fixed.

KNOWN ISSUES (mostly minor stuff - nothing new here, really)

IMPORTANT # 2!!! DO NOT REMOVE THE GUNS ON THE WALL IN THE MUSEUM! Do not disturb them in any way if you can help it. If you knock one off it might just cause a chain reaction that will have weapons raining down in front of you. LOL, it eventually stops (and you have a NICE pile 'o guns!!) but I think it's best avoided if possible.

NOTE: Be VERY careful placing objects onto the display stands in front of them. I like to drop the object I'm placing a little way away from the stand, pick it up and take it over very gently to place it. You can't be slinging stuff around much, especially if you have the other displays filled. Quicksave helps too when placing objects. Place one, quick save, place another beside it, quick save. Rinse/repeat while you display your spoils! If one gets buggered, you can just reload your quick save and roll.

IMPORTANT # 3!!! Same as above for the Chessboard, the Holotapes by the TV, and the weapons in the armory. It's just a weird thing with the havoc and collision I guess. Hell, the sick bastards at Beth used the bug to trigger skeletons all over the place! If you've ever picked up the beer in the Tech Museum the skeleton is holding, you know what I mean!

IMPORTANT # 4!!! The sorter "repairs" your Weapons and Apparel to 100% condition. With respect to these sorters, I'm not aware of an easy way around this, and I think it's been around since folks started making these sorters. But if you know of an easy fix, PLEASE share it! So, if you don't want all your gear to raised 100% - DON'T use the sorters! There's plenty of versatile storage options - I made sure of that for ya!

NOTE: It actually doesn't "repair" your gear. It simply removes the item you have, regardless of condition, and places a NEW one in the container it is scripted to. To some, this may be a gift, but to others it might be a cheat. I left plenty of options for those who wish to sort manually. Myself, I do both depending on the role I'm playing, but I like the options it gives me for when I don't want to play a scavenger type role. Sometimes, I like to play as the uber rich, wasteland emperor, with the unstoppable dirty 'mo posse from Hell!

========================
4. REQUIREMENTS
========================

A decent computer and Fallout 3. Only vanilla assets are used. I constructed and play tested Chekov's Place entirely on an old Sapphire ATI 4670, non-powered card. The interior of my cell runs at a much higher frame rate (40-60fps) than I get in the wasteland (20-40fps) with the same medium settings. So, if you can run the game smoothly, my mod should be fine for you.

========================
5. INSTALLATION
========================

Step 1 - Download and unzip the zip file. Find Chekovs.esp. Cut, or Copy and Paste file into your …\Fallout3\Data folder, or just extract it straight to that directory with your compression utility.

Step 2 - Check the tick box for Chekovs.esp in whatever you use to launch the game and fire it up!

Step 3 - ?

Step 4 - Profit!
