With all the cdaggers original NPC's and the new ones I added, the bar - which I have begun to affectionately call the "Quantum Bar & Grill" - is now a happening place! Recruit a couple of other followers to park in the bar, turn on the radios for some tunes and you won't believe how much the place comes to life! For a more active look, you can even decorate the tables and counters with clutter items you find and bring home, or you could just use the stuff I stored in the trash can. There is always something going on at the Quantum Bar & Grill at Daggerhead! Some features include:

--> 12 mini lockers (removed 3 full size lockers)

--> Wall safe added under the counter

--> Power Healer under table in the corner (works like My First Infirmary)

--> First aid kit for sorter to store your chems in

--> Lot's of Nuka-Cola friges full of food, beverages & booze!

--> 2 radios added behind the counter area

--> 2 Pristine Vending Machines for Ice Cold Nuka-Cola

--> Teleport system places you and your squad in the large open area of the bar where it's easy to park them (see below)

--> Automated sorting system for parts, scrap metal, food & drink, armor, apparel and chems

 

NOTE: The screen shots & videos of the bar include a couple of other mods that are NOT included in my updates. The uniforms that the bartenders are wearing are the "Jill Valentine" outfits that are included in "Anthony Lings Finer Things" mod which adds hundreds of the most popular clothes and accessories for the Type 3 Female body replacer to Lings store in Tenpenny Tower. The bartenders will come dressed in the blue Pre-War dress that is in the vanilla game. I used the "Sharing & Caring Companions" mod to be able to dialog with them and trade their vanilla clothes for the Type 3 clothes. I have made all of my changes with only the vanilla clothes so that users would not have to download a bunch of other stuff to make it work.

Next, I used the Mannequin mod to place the guys in Power Armor as sort of static "guards" or "wax figures". I thought they looked pretty cool so I left them in the screen shots as an example of what you could do with them if you wanted to.

Lastly, except for all the clutter objects that cdagger originally placed in the bar I left all the tables and counters uncluttered. Part of the fun for me is to decorate the bar myself in-game, and cluttering up the tables and booths via GECK would take that fun away from me (and you!). However, if you do not wish to haul a bunch of cups, plates and pitchers back to the bar to decorate I added a bunch of clutter to the trash can in the bar. It has lots of stuff including some Intact Garden Gnomes & Nuka-Cola Trucks to decorate with.


TELEPORT SYSTEM

You now teleport with your followers to and from the bar. When you fast travel to the Daggerhead Portal marker on your map, you will warp in right beside of a rock that you can click on to teleport directly into the bar. To leave the bar, click on the yellow switch back in the corner by the lockers.

NOTE: When raveage put in the teleport system for me that started this whole project, it was set up to teleport the player into the Science Lab right beside of where the original marker cdagger used was. (The original teleport system is still fully intact and unchanged.) This worked fine with one or even two followers, but with more than two followers in your squad, there is just not enough room in that tight little area for that many people to warp into, so it really needed to be moved to a much larger and open area to accommodate multiple followers.

The second issue I had concerning my followers is that the player has to make a couple of really tight turns and go through an automatic door to get into and out of the lab, and the 2nd and 3rd followers in line were just having trouble getting through there and they were getting hung up on stuff or having the automatic door close on them.

So, I thought about it long and hard, and I eventually decided that the best place to setup the teleport marker was in the bar. This solved so many problems and in my mind really didn't create any major issues, so now when you teleport from the Wasteland you arrive in the giant open area of the bar!

The reason I ultimately chose that spot was that I would almost without exception park my squad in the bar while I did my own thing. So, it just made sense to warp directly into the place I wanted to make them wait. Also, an added benefit of using the Followers Relax mod is that they seem to wander in a pretty large area. So they will come in and out of the bar, piddle around the instruction/class area, wander into the barracks, and I have even found Charon all the way in Engineering and Medical sections, lol. And cdagger literally put idle markers everywhere, so they actually look like they are doing stuff, not just wandering around lost.

ADDED STORAGE TO BAR

I am definitely OCD when it comes to storage of my stuff. I have my own little personal system that I have developed over time that I like to use to keep everything nice and organized and most importantly QUICKLY sorted. And if I was going to park my squad in the bar it only made sense that I would just keep my gear there too. So, there were 3 lockers down at the far end of the bar that I removed and used the space they were in to add several "mini" lockers, a safe under the counter and a First Aid kit.


SORTING SYSTEM

PARTS SORTER
I have a added sorter for all the junk parts used for custom weapons. You can sort your parts from either the terminal in the bar of the terminal in the tool room. For each of the individual parts I created a little 1/2 size mini toolbox neatly placed under the workbenches in the tool room in Engineering. Also in the tool room I have a parts retriever terminal that you can use just to pull the parts stored for each custom weapon one at a time. It also sorts and stores scrap metal.

ARMOR & APPAREL SORTER
Use the Armor & Apparel option in the sorting terminal in the bar to sort MOST armor & Apparel. I DID NOT set up the script to sort unique clothing or any type of Combat Armor. I only wear some version of Combat Armor and get tired of having to re-equip my armor so I left it out of the script. Most clothing will be sorted into the locker named "Apparel for Sale" in the bar. (NOTE: The way the script works when an item is removed from your inventory it is NOT actually placed into the locker. But the script simply adds the same TYPE of item that it removed from you into the locker. Therefore, ANY clothing you sort with the terminal will be added to the locker at 100% condition. That's an unfortunate or fortunate (depending on your point of view!) consequence of the sorter and I'm not aware of a way around it. So, if you have an item of clothing that you DO NOT want to be replaced with a fully repaired version of it, put it away manually first, then use the sorter for the rest of your gear.

FOOD & DRINK
This option will sort all food & drink items into the "Food & Drink" locker in the bar.

CHEMS & STEALTH BOY'S
This option will sort all chems (including Stimpaks into the First Aid Kit under the counter in the bar.

COLLECTABLES
This option will sort items that I collect such as Teddy Bears, Pre War Money, Harmonicas, Gnomes, Nuka Trucks etc into the Collectables safe under the counter in the bar.

CLUTTER
This option will sort all clutter items such as plates, cups, forks & so forth into the Clutter locker in the bar.

As of right now, I have no plans of adding weapons to the sorter. One other note: As I mentioned above, I set these lockers, containers & sorting options up as I like to use them. I know that everyone probably has their own way they like to store stuff, but this way seemed most logical to me and when used it should manage about 70% of your inventory.
